Protesters want God to save the Internet

Our goals are more modest

THREE SINGER/SONGWRITERS who met at an LA anger management session have recorded a protest song called "God Save the Internet". Naturally you can download it for free.

Somewhat scarily the trio - Kay Hanley, Jill Sobule, and Michelle Lewis - all met at a recovery centre for those suffering from internet-related anger issues. Not very specialist, eh?

Anyway, rather than do the obvious thing of writing to a politician who'd do absolutely nothing about it, the trio formed The Broadband.

The song includes lyrics like - "Some of the people in our congress want to send us back to the days of the Pony Express."

The track should help kickstart the girl's careers - although the INQ is quite so sure about Michelle's mother, Annette, who makes a guest appearance but is described as panicking every time she gets an email with an attachment on it.

So that's all the time, then?

The MP3 can be found on the group's aptly named site - savetheinternet.com, here. µ
