Oh no! Football flash drive kicked off

Computex 2006 For the trendy, right?

WORLD CUP delirium is in danger of unbalancing the brains of even memory companies, it appears.

A-Data said it has introduced the Football Disk which it claims is suitable for people who adopt a trendy life style. If you're touting one of these when you visit Germany to see your gladiatoral team being beat, you can rest assured that when you drop it in your stein of beer it will come out still retaining your data.

The USB 2.0 drive has two cache flash disks and presumably comes in different sizes. Naturally, it has two footballs on the top so that you can remember you are a soccer fan. In case you forget because you've had too many steins of beer.

If football isn't your bag but Micky Mouse is, you will probably go ecstatic at the idea of a further set of drives A-Data is producing with Disney characters on board.

A-Data also sells DRAM called Extreme but appears to have no plans to bung Disney characters or soccer balls on these. But you never know your luck in the big city. ยต
