Wireless users, raise four cheers for Intel

Firm performs miracle
Thu Nov 13 2003, 08:43
Wifi-zone CHIP FIRM Intel deserves a lot of praise for moving heaven and earth to get the INQUIRER permission to publish a map of WiFi points in central London.

Yesterday we reported that we were unable to republish a map of London WiFi hotspots which appeared in a supplement to an issue of last week's Evening Standard.

But it appears that Intel has worked a miracle overnight and we're pleased to announce we're now able to republish that map, through the firm's good graces.

The map, which is in colour and too large to appear on one page, can be found here.

This move by Intel is a great public service not only to Londoners, but also to visitors to the capital. Our thanks to Intel for managing to make life easier for Centrino users, like the INQUIRER. µ
