DESPITE HAVING been released nearly two months ago, the Nintendo Wii is still in hot demand.

Sony's PS3 may be littering stock rooms across the US, but it seems that Nintendo can't seem to make its new console fast enough for us Europeans.

The Game store on Oxford Street in London received stock not more than an hour ago and instantly a nice orderly queue formed to wait for the staff to process the orders and dole them out.

This being Britain, many people seemed to join the queue before finding out what it was for. At the stroke of noon the staff began ringing up sales and it was only a matter of minutes before your intrepid hack left the store triumphantly wielding his Wii.

Instant queue, just add Wii

Fortunately the shipment was big enough to satisfy the mob and so peace was maintained during the flurry of sales. The manager told us the stock wouldn't last more than about half an hour. µ
