AMD caveman's power supply stunt ends in exile

POWER SUPPLY UNITS. These most abused items make up a big hunk of every PC ever sold. They should last for years and probably would.

But evil chip makers - in their infinite wisdom - like to up the requirements of their chippery every now and then. So millions of PSUs head for landfill when they could yet be useful.

As Al Gore will tell you, it's these sort of shenanigans that have gotten us in the environmental conundrum we find ourselves in right now - up shit creek without a paddle.

It's enough to get you got under the collar. If you have any hair there.

Anyhow, one bloke has found good use for them.

Apparently however, such antics have so enraged supposedly laid-back Californians, that our Canadian caveman here has been sent back up to the northern wilderness where he belongs.

Get back to the home of rubbish beer and seal-clubbing, big boy. µ
