Open Sauce sites squirted

But no one is talking

SITES BELONGING to the Open Source Technology Group, including Slashdot, crashed for about 40 minutes last night.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald the sites that went down included sourceforge.net, IT Manager's Journal, freshmeat.net and Linux.com.

At the moment the group is keeping very quiet about the cause of the outage. Although to be fair they probably are not out of bed yet.

It couldn't be a hacker because after all everyone knows that Linux is much more secure than Windows. Maybe there was a power cut.
