EX XBOX TEAM MEMBER Ed Fries just announced something really, really... different.
Project Epoc is a controller that maps your brain signals, using the very same techniques that medical industry is using to produce EEG devices (Electroencephalograph), but here - you are controlling yourself in a 3D space, in games in fact.

What better activity to show the Project Epoc in action than a mind combat from Far East

The demo of the device is impressive, with two guys from this start up company pushing each other of a cliff using nothing else than brain activity. It will be interesting to see how will doctors react to such a novelty when they see EEG results of users of these devices.

Your hack, wired

However, even though this technology is targeting games, the goal of this project spans much further than entertainment, and we can see the application of this device with disabled people. All in all, perhaps the thing from this year's GDC with the brightest future. µ
