THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT has issued a stream of regulations in an attempt to limit web sites that feature video.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the regulations, released yesterday, mean that online vid content would have to obey the same rules as TV and newspapers.

The rules mean no vids that interfere with social stability, damage the government’s reputation, disclose state secrets or promote porn.

Youtube, said the Journal (sub needed), is available in China but was recently blocked. µ
