Shuttle shoe box is a BTX baby

Another round up from Charlie

FOR THE SECOND SET of nifty press roundups in one day, we start out with Shuttle and its brand new pico-BTX barebones chassis, the XPC SB86i. This new box has an i915 based board for LGA775 chips, card reader, a full port compliment, and the superlative Shuttle build quality and ease of use. It is the first 'shoebox' barebones I have seen in the BTX form factor. Check it out on the recently redesigned Shuttle web site.

From the ordinary to the unusual, we come to the very odd but intriguing phone camera lens from Amacrox. This is one of those things that I am torn between wondering why someone didn't think it up sooner, and why didn't someone lock them up before now. Either way, if you are craving zoom, wide angle, or macro lenses for your cell phone, Amacrox has what you need.

Moving along, we come to Coolermaster, and its Real Power 450W power supply. This one has one thing that caught my eye, a real time readouts of the system power consumption. For all those LAN party weenies with useless colored LEDs dancing on the front of the case, this one will allow you to point and laugh, you have useful dancing LED on your case. You can read all about it here.

Last up, we come to a PS2 and XBox game, World Championship Poker. I may live in a cave when it comes to modern culture, but even I know that poker is the hot thing nowadays, and celebrity poker is even hotter. I really don't care to see people who can't count to their salary play statistics games, but still, this one has something that made me grin.

The PS2 version supports the EyeToy USB camera allowing you to see your opponent and them to see you. The point of this is you can see the expression on the face of your soon to be defeated foe, and they can see you gloat when you mercilessly crush them. That is what online gaming is all about. ยต
