CUSTOMERS who use the online auction outfit eBay are in revolt over a hike in online rental to those use its 500,000 online stores.

Ebay hopes that the extra fees will claw back a few shekels and encourage some customers to use the auction operation instead.

However, the charges have already set off a backlash that has resulted in a boycott among some eBay sellers.

According to Associated Press reports, some of EBay's merchants want the outfit's CEO Meg Whitman fired.

A long-term eBay video seller Steve Grossberg said the outfit's core auction performance was suffering tremendously and it took four times longer to flog anything these days.

There is an outside chance that Whitman might leave of her own volition anyway. She was thinking about taking over as CEO at Walt Disney. She has also gone on record as saying you should never stay in a company longer than a decade and her ten years are up soon.
