Nokia pimps N-Gage with new colour QD

Pumping up the PR volume

WHEN IT comes to the mobile phone industry, Nokia is almost as good at pumping money at things as Microsoft is with its consoles. It's currently pimping the (in)famous Nokia N-Gage with a new variant that comes with some sort of a silver shell as opposed to the grey and black one that comes as standard.

The original N-Gage promised a mobile phone cum handheld entertainment centre, though it was a brick of a yoke and was soon replaced by the more pleasant looking QD. However stiff competition in the handheld sector of late has seen it surpassed by superior handheld gaming machines and leaving consumers wondering why they'd want a funny looking phone for a fairly limited stack of games.

Ohh well, pimp it up says Nokia and alongside this new colour QD it will be releasing some new games: ONE, System Rush, Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands and High Seize. Nevertheless, Pathway to Glory was actually quite good so we'll be interested to see what comes of Ikusa Islands. Not that we bought N-Gages, mind. Ohh no, we err… umm… have friends with them. µ
