Google kicks off library online

SEARCH FIRM Google has started offering a large collection of books in the public domain.

The beta page at this address includes out of copyright works scanned in from Harvard, Stanford, the University of Michigan and the New York public library.

A number of such online archives exist already. It's publications which are still in copyright that have caused two organisations to sue Google. ยต
