HP buys Lefthand Networks

To find out what the right hand is doing

RAVENOUS HP said Lefthand Networks Inc. has agreed to be borged bought for $360 million in cash.

Lefthand Networks is a privately-owned outift based in Boulder, Colorado. It has 215 employees and more than 500 resellers and distributors worldwide.

HP said that once it has tied up a few loose ends the business would be integrated into its Storage Works division.

Lefthand CEO Bill Chambers reckoned joining with HP was "a natural fit for our customers and channel partners".

No-one gave any assurances about the fate of the 215 employees. µ
