Broadband comparison site launches

Top 10 Broadband reckons it enable UK customers to find the best broadband deal for their needs, based on where they live.

By simply sticking their postcode onto the page, users get a a snapshot of the ten best broadband deals available in their area.

The site also suggests the top ten UK providers at any one time and it's BT that currently occupies number one slot.

BT wins out on price but also because it is a trusted brand according to Alex Buttle, Internet marketing director at site creator, Formula.

The inclusion of data relating to customer feedback tends to put the bigger names at the top of list, he explained.

And the site can prove pretty useful. A quick scan of our postcode here reveals that our provider is twice the price of the top offering (from BT). Indeed, our provider (cough, NTL) doesn't even appear in the top ten. µ
