Intel leaks Canterwood chipset details by mistake

And so does everyone else, perhaps on purpose

THERE'S A WHOLE LOTTA leaking going on all over the world wide web about Intel's Canterwood i875 chipset, and even Chipzilla seems to have inadvertently joined in.

We believe, as we've written many times before, that Intel lifts the veil on this souped up chipset for the Pentium 4 market tomorrow.

But right at the end of this PDF on Intel's own site there's confirmation that of the firm's unofficial official product.

Then on this Hungarian site there are all the details anyone might need of the 865 and 875 board. The PDF is here and seems to be an Intel data sheet.

Lots of Springdale information here, with desktop board numbers and the like.

The chip queen must have a lot of boards out there because here's some pricing at a German web site.

Then there are the third party motherboard companies like MSI, Mitac, and Aopen.

Oh, then there's Gigglebyte and Gigglebyte again, the latter board with SCSI features.

Interested in pricing? We know you are. So go over to this German site and try a search for BoxD 865 and BoxD 875.

Haven't any of these people ever heard of NDAs (non disclosure agreements)? µ
