Logitech achieves universal harmony

Hardware Roundup Competitive wibbling
Monday, 8 January 2007, 09:55
TODAY'S ROUNDUP starts with XSreviews look at the Antec Notebook Cooler S, which strikes me more as a delicate set piece from the Torchwood show featuring the female cyberman cyberwoman cyberperson than a notebook cooler.

LostCircuits has been digging into AMD's Brisbane Core - the Transition to 65 nm, taking a thorough look at the new technology and its performance.

PC Perspective brings us the Logitech Harmony 880 Universal Remote Review. This remote looks like it can in fact control just about anything with an IR receiver, just the sort of magic wand with which to take over the world… or just control all the stuff in your house.

Virtual-Hideout has written up the be quiet! 750W & 850W Dark Power Pro PSU Review, these two powerhouses are identical except for the wattage and both perform superbly and manage to look good doing it. The modular cable design is also a major plus for neat freaks like me.

ChileHardware has reviewed the ATI Radeon X1950Pro. From what I can gather from the translation, this card performs decently for the price, but there doesn't seem to be much headroom for overclocking.

Bjorn3d brings you the chance to Win Two 7900GTs for SLI. To win, there are 15 arcade games on the forum and the person with the highest combined score from all the games at the end of January will win the cards. Anyone is allowed to enter, but you do need to be registered to be able to access the games.

Phoronix has reviewed the ASUS P5B Deluxe which packs in more features than you can shake a stick at, but comes with something of a premium price tag.

Rbmods has been cooling their jets with the Vizo Armada RAM Cooler Review. These strange little fans won't help much if you're running your RAM at stock settings, but if you want to push your modules a little harder then these are worth considering. µ
