This morning we received our first UK retail Wii, on the day of release, from those lovely chaps at Gameplay.co.uk.
Check out the unboxing process below.
Getting it out of the box.
Getting it out of another box.
Still getting it out of boxes.
The bottom of the Wii with its air vent showing, and the pivot that it rests on.
The Wii slots opened. Notice the clear round plastic holder under the Wii pivot, that keeps the console even more
sturdy.
The accompanying sensor bar, with its little plastic pivot.

Unfortunately Gameplay were unable to deliver the Wii component cable - some sites say its due for release 15th Dec, some say the 8th, others declare they have no stock, and some more say they have stock and will ship but can't confirm delivery, but we're they'll get there eventually.
The two classic controllers we also ordered haven't shown up, not much of a problem as we intend to play with the new Wiimote all day, but it would have been nice to try these out on release day, especially considering the virtual console's reliance on them for playing the back catalogue of games.
We can confirm that Wii Sports comes in its own case, apparently the US/Japanese versions didn't.

We can also confirm that the POO FCC ID does exist, along with the accompanying WC tag.

Wii, Poo and WC all on one device, talk about toilet humour. It couldn't get much better. µ
