HP fails to act on failing notebooks

Blinkers on, corporate head in sand
Mon May 27 2002, 10:24
A WEEK AGO we noted that owners of HP notebooks were up in arms because of a glitch affecting their expensive machines.

See HP notebooks in mass shut down.

We notice that since then little appears to have happened except that HP is being massively criticised for failing to respond to the problems - which it's known about for months and months.

Some readers have told us that when they've posted exasperated messages on the support board - which you can find here, they've been banned.

It would seem HP has its head in its sand about these problems, which seem to affect both AMD and Pentium based notebooks across a wide range of models including its Pavilion and its Z series.

We wonder how HP thinks how long it can get away with wearing the blinkers.... All it has to do is to look at the very last post. ยต See Also
