FUTUREMARK'S BDP PROGRAMME (Benchmark Development Program) got a new recruit.

Marvell, a well known manufacturer of networking components gracing many personal computers and decided to enter BDP, but with orientation on mobile development.

The reason why Marvell decided to join is pretty simple - development of benchmarking projects that use freshly launched Marvell PXA3xx and next generation application processors.

Company will work on development of upcoming mobile benchmark VGMark, a vector performance benchmark for handhelds is set to debut in next couple of months.

Besides development of next generation benchmarking software, Marvell will continue to use other Futuremark software such as SimulationES 2.0, a pre-silicon performance testing of OpenGL ES 2.0 designs. µ
