Intel has mouthful of praise for Nvidia

INTEL never uttered nicer words about Nvidia than it did at CES. It is beyond imaginable that Intel had so many superlatives for this graphics- only solo player.

It even said that a single G80 is better than two Radeon X1950 XTXs, not that it is wrong about it. It's just that Intel is doing everything it can to trash the concept of DAAMIT.

It all came out during the last PR meeting at the show we had with the blue chip company. Intel might have some catching up to do. It dominates the first half of 2007 but it might just lose the crown in the second part of the year. R600 also looks like a decent chip.

And with AMD's Barcelona 65 nanometre native quad-core powered with DAAMIT's new chipset and two R600 cards on the horizon. this will certainly make Intel run for its money.

Intel simply has to suck up enough to Nvidia and get the right to use SLI on its boards and Nvidia needs Intel as much. We think that SLI on Intel boards is around the corner as Jensen has to stop being stubborn and make a deal with Intel. Thank god for boards of directors. µ
