Microsoft in hot water with Europe again

More fines to come
Wed Nov 15 2006, 07:20
CONVICTED MONOPOLIST Microsoft is facing more fines from the EU for ignoring requests to hand over information on its Windows operating system.

According to the Guardian, Vole has until next Thursday to give information about Windows to its rivals.

EU's antitrust chief Neelie Kroes said that if she was not happy with Voles sluggish moves to do this, she would fine them up to €3 million a day until they did.

Kroes said she was tired of waiting for Microsoft to meet her demands as she didn't "have eternal life" which we can see being a problem for most people.

She was not impressed that Vole was patting itself on the back saying 90 per cent of the information was already there when all of it should have been delivered months ago.

Kroes said that the data that was required was a jigsaw and some of the pieces were missing. She didn't say if they were the sort of pieces that were crucial, like the corners, or if they were just those silly bits with the sky in them. µ
