Samsung 30-inch monitor does exist

CES 007 Looks good

A FEW WEEKS ago, I was looking for a 30-inch monitor because my Dell 2405 was getting far too cramped for my tastes. The one I was lusting after was the Samsung 305T, but I couldn't find it.

My searches went on, calling distributor friends, dealers and anyone else who wouldn't hang up on me, but I found all of nothing. The November launch date came and went, and still nothing. Did it really exist or was it a cruel Korean joke to get back at us for the TV shows we inflict on their monitors?

Samsung-305t

Well, it does exist, two months late I saw one on the show floor at CES. Due to the internet access here, or lack thereof, I can't tell if it is really out, but Samsung has at least one to show. It looks pretty, but that is all I can say, the Samsung booth has a large number of security guards.

How did the story end up for your intrepid reporter? I gave up and bought a Dell 3007, a mediocre monitor at best with only one input and one set of controls (brightness). It was cheap, very cheap, and also inexpensive. I should have waited. µ
