UK PUBLIC ORGANISATION the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) ublic has asked Microsoft to help it get its Web 2.0 content sorted out.

According to Ars Technica, Beeb bigwigs are embarrassed that they have no Web 2.0 content and are failing to appear advanced enough in Web 2.00 browser engines.

It has announced that it has signed a non-exclusive memorandum of understanding with Vole for a Web 2.0 makeover.

The Beeb site has a huge audience and there is no doubt that Microsoft would want to get its feelers into the body corporate. The only difficulty is how Aunty BBC will pay for Volish services since it is not allowed to slap an advertisement on the site to explain its generosity.

One of the ways around this is that the Beeb could provide content to Vole's Windows Live "news" section. BBC's director of new media and technology Ashley Highfield said that Vole was to become a key supplier to the BBC.
