Solar silicon prompts Taiwan show

Huge market en route
Tue Mar 20 2007, 10:11
TAIWANESE TRADE BODY Taitra will hold a trade show in autumn this year because of a burgeoning market in solar energy.

The Economic News said local firms Mosel Vitelic and E-Tone Solar have said they'll back the show, while German firm Q-Cell will also attend.

Germany is the world's biggest market for solar energy, followed closely by Japan. Taitra reckons there's a stack of investment money headed into the solar energy market as firms become more conscious of the environment going to pot.

Course the world+dog knows that governments are too frightened of electors to take really radical action to cut emissions, such as limiting each household to one motor car and imposing swingeing taxes on owners of flash Jaguars and the like. µ
