Better late than never

THE bods behind Yahoo Mail have finally worked out a way of blocking those annoying fake eBay and PayPal scam postings that wing their way to your inbox.

According to News.com, Yahoo has upgraded its system with DomainKeys technology which is designed to block phishing spam that look like they come from eBay and PayPal.

The system verifies the domain of the sender of the email and allows Yahoo to block messages it deems dodgy.

The upgrade started being rolled out yesterday and is expected to be up and running throughout the world in several weeks.

Thank you, Yahoo!

Thank goodness they did something about it. I absolutely hated getting on average 3 to 5 fake eBay and PayPal emails a day. Especially having to report each one to spoof@ebay.com and mark each of them as spam.

Hopefully this reduces the number of spam I get now.

Again, thank you, Yahoo.
