MAKER of entertainment gear, Apple has sent invitations to all of its tame journalists to come and seem some exciting new products.

According to iLounge, which got an invite, some form of product launch is being held at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California on February 28th.

Of course Apple has not told its favourite journos what will be on show at the event, but they would never ask anyway. That would spoil the surprise.

The invite is on an iCal-like calendar image which reads: "Come see some fun new products from Apple." The special event begins at 9:00 a.m. at Apple Town Hall, Building 4.

Last week, America's finest IT journalists were sent out a hoax invite purporting to be an Apple invitation to a special event on March 1st. Since most of them will turn up to the opening of an envelope if Apple heralds it, some were already packing.
