Microsoft lets you fiddle with Office 2007

Beta the devil you know
Tue May 23 2006, 07:18
MICROSOFT has released a public beta of Office 2007.

The beta is available for Joe Public to download but it will expire on 31 January 2007.

Microsoft has done a bunch of fiddling with Office in an effort to get you to buy the latest version when it comes out.

It will also be pleased if you make the beta fall over so it can fix it.

Most Office users use only a small fraction of its capabilities. Microsoft hopes to change all that with the new version.

Those willing to become a testvole can download the beta here.

The company also announced a new Beta test version of upcoming Vista. You can't have that though, unless you're a developer, or already signed up as a super-spod.

The less hardcore can get their Vista Product Guide here. ยต
