Quack that whip, the warthogs are coming

A Daze of Hardware

TIME FOR MORE HARDWARE announcements that don't really fit anywhere else. This batch brings us everything from games to frogs and ducks. I know you are waiting, so let's start with warthogs.

Warthog Studios, and you thought I was kidding, just announced three new games, Johnny Whatever, Milo and the Rainbow Nasties, and Sticky Balls. All three are console games aimed at the kids and up demographic. If you want to see more, check out the site for all three here. There seems to be nothing on the main page linking to the games. Warthog. I don't get to say it in print enough. Warthog.

Then come frogs, or at least Frogpads. While I am not sure that frogs have handedness, or if it matters in the grand scheme of things, I am sure that lefties can now use a Frogpad. The press release is here.

Moving to a completely different subject, with no animals, Synaptics said that it has shipped 100 million touchpads. In 20 years of existence, that is five million a year, an awful lot of pads. Someone figure out how much area this will cover and write me with a cool statistic.

DFI also has no animals in the name of their new product the LANPARTY 925-T2. This brightly colored board ships with UV sensitive cables, and glows like the sun if you put it on a wall in bright light. Whatever the case, this new board has all the standard 925 features plus 8 channel Karjan sound, dual Gig-E networking, Firewire and high quality caps for clean, leak free power. You can read all about the goodies it brings, even if there are no ocelots in the box.

If you thought I would not get around to the ducks, you are sadly mistaken. The Press Release of the Moment award goes to BSG PR for the release entitled "Quack That Whip! It's The Bondage I Rub My Duckie". Yes, go
