Kingston to launch low latency DDR2

EEE 2006 High speed parts too
Wednesday, 10 May 2006, 10:05
KINGSTON IS ABOUT to launch a bunch of high speed memory in the near future. The company has some DDR2-1066, low latency DDR2-1000 and some lower latency DDR2-800. The 800 is set at 4/4/4/15, and the 1066 non-low latency is 5/5/5 either 15 or 16, it wasn't specified, and won't be until they launch it. It is the same with the 1000, no hard numbers given.

The 1066 comes in a 1G kit, the 1000 will come in 2G kits. As far as I am aware, there is no other low latency memory at that speed available on the market. Since the products won't be launched for a week or two, I can't say if they are higher or lower speed than similar items, but they are higher capacity.

Not that I know for sure, but I would look for the parts on or about the 23rd, not that anything is happening on that day, nothing at all. I just have a hunch you will see a ton of memory launched that day. ยต
