Man cools computers with oil

Oil go to the foot of my stairs
Monday, 15 August 2005, 11:13
A GERMAN CHAP is experimenting with oil cooled PCs.

But you don't have to worry about the rocketing cost of a barrel of oil, if your contemplating doing this yourself, because his oil filled PCs are green. Well, not exactly green, but they do use vegetable oil.

If you fly your browser over to this page, you'll see the bottles of vegetable oil he used for his first machine, next to what looks like a fish tank filled with oil.

There's more up to date pictures, here.

As far as we can tell, the fellow hasn't got round to putting a fillet of haddock in there and a pile of chips, and we don't know how long such a dish would take to cook in a PC rig, either. ยต
