CALIFORNIA bullies who exploit the Internet to harass their fellow students may soon face suspension or even expulsion.

California Assemblyman Ted Lieu's sweeping bill would outlaw all bullying via text messaging, cell phones, pagers, computers and “other [forms of] electronic communications”.

The bill recently sailed through the State Senate on a 21-11 vote and will be sent to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger if approved by the Assembly.

According to Lieu, cyber-bullying has significantly increased due to the rise in popularity of Web-based social networking sites and text messaging. µ

Hmmm

Then bullying a hacker wouldn't be good, he could "borrow" your phone or computer whathaveyou.. and have it send threatening and bullying messages to the hacker, thus landing an innocent person in hot water as it originated from his phone or computer without any proof of who actually sent it? Sounds like a whole lot of effort to prove the bullying just for a days suspension.
