Three jailed for "cyber terrorism"

Encouraged jihad via the web
Fri Jul 06 2007, 11:35
A UK JUDGE SENTENCED three individuals to jail for inciting terrorism and holy war on the web.

Younes Tsouli was jailed for 10 years, while his associates Tariq al-Daour and Waseem Mughal got 6½ years and 7½ years jail respectively.

After a two month trial, all three changed their pleas from not guilty to guilty earlier this week, and admitted being involved in credit card and bank fraud.

Mr Justice Openshaw said the men had sponsored "cyber jihad" and promoted the death of non-believers by a combination of contributions to online forums and their own websites. µ
