Samsung may be eyeing up AMD

LOOK, I hear rumours all the time, and unlike my ex-Eva Glass, I don't sleep with execs from high tech companies to get them.

So it is with the greatest diffidence that I pass on the two rumours I've heard - one that Samsung may snap up AMD, the other that Acer will pick up now European only firm Packard Bell.

We know that Acer is in acquisition mood, so this one could be a goer. But AMD and Samsung? It's not impossible, and would certainly give Intel a fit of the heebie jeebies.

But, like I said, these are just rumours in the channel so I wouldn't bet your last dollar on these ones. µ
