Apple plans iTunes ads

APPLE HAS has announced that iTunes users will have to put up with advertising on its free content.

Jobs' Mobs latest plan is that the ads will appear only in the lower-left corner of the iTunes library while users listen to content from their computers.

Ipod users will be able to listen without seeing advertising at the moment, but will still have to hear the advertising on podcasts.

However Apple sauces indicate that the outfit is apparently considering widening the advertising net on its premium content particularly its television downloading.

At the moment the television networks are making a fortune by charging viewers $1.99 to download an episode of a show on iTunes and Apple wants a slice of that pie.
