AT8 is the name

ABIT IS getting ready to release its first Crossfire motherboard. As an ATI partner, this enthusiast motherboard manufacturer decided to put some funds in R&D to make this board capable of working with two ATI paired, master-slave cards. It obviously is using an ATI Crossfire capable chipset.

The board is scheduled to arrive in October and it won't be late for the party as this will take place just after ATI launches this marchitecture and its R5xx range.

We know that the board will be named AT8 as Abit likes to keep it simple these days. Knowing Abit it's going to be an overclockable board full of features. The funny thing is that its hard competitor, DFI (Diamand Flower International), will be among the launch partners so Abit will have to do good homework to fight these boys and girls. µ
