Google refuses to tackle racist blogs

Censorship only applies if you are China

SEARCH OUTFIT Google has refused to switch off blogs belonging to racist and neo-nazi organisations.

Apparently Google's 'Blogger' product is proving popular with racist organisations Down Under, and moves by the anti-racist groups have been rebuffed.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, despite having a button to complain about the nature of the bog, Goggle just ignores any complaints.

Other sites, like Angelfire and Tripod, have apparently assisted in the removal of about 25 or 30 Nazi, white supremacist, racist websites, but Google is apparently defending the bogger's right to free speech.

Specifically it has refused to remove two sites called the "Patriot Alliance Downunder" and "Red Watch NZ".

The Patriot Alliance site posts the names, addresses and photographs of people it does not like with the aim of preserving and defending "our heritage, culture, customs, traditions, morals, and values, as well as our blood itself, against hostile alien elements that are destructive to who we are and we as a race hold dear".

Of course if the same sites were posting in China, Google would have assisted the authorities jail the perpetrators.
