Power delivered to the quad system

Hardware Roundup Zalman suffers a Fatal1ty
Mon Nov 20 2006, 09:48
IT SEEMS AS THOUGH everyone has realised that along with the new deluge of quad core processors and quad SLI graphics cards, that people need power supplies that will actually run these things. Rbmods brings us the OCZ Evostream 600W PSU Review, Virtual-Hideout has been looking at the whopping Tagan TurboJet 1100w Quad SLI Power Supply, WCCFTech has reviewed the FSP Group's Epsilon 700W Power Supply and Chilehardware puts four differing PSUs through their paces to deliver the PSU mini roundup.

The Corsair Flash Voyager 8GB, reviewed by Phoronix, may be impressively fast and the 8 GB storage is remarkable, but it looks sufficiently like a switchblade that it's likely to get you shot by security at any transport terminal in the UK.

Bjorn3d has been tinkering with the ASUS P5W64WS Professional Motherboard and reckon it's about the best 975 based board around there at the moment, scoring it 9.5 / 10.

XSreviews has reviewed the Antec Spot Cool. An ingenious little fan on a bendable stalk that allows you position it anywhere and at any angle you need, to provide that little bit of extra cooling you require.

Probably the worlds best known gamer, in fact probably the worlds only widely known gamer, Fatal1ty has teamed up again with Zalman to bring us a cool looking chassis, the Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1. Virtual-Hideout has reviewed it and sadly it seems to plagued with a multitude of problems.

We all know that if you try and keep up with the latest hardware you would need rather deep pockets indeed. Fortunately some of our friends are attempting to ease the financial burden by giving away a few shiny bits of kit. Thanks to Club OC you can win a Raptor Hard Drive from ClubIT and XSReviews are hosting a Icemat Siberia In-Ear Headphones Competition. µ

Do you think the move was justified?
