The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer - Henry Kissinger
These to dual socket PCs each have 8 FBD slots, three fans, two hot plug SATA HDs, two GigE ports, and an 8x PCIe slot. They will take any Intel Core number numeral chip with opaque numbering up to and including the highest end quad cores.

They only have one single 980W PSU between them however. On the up side, because it is a single PSU driven really hard, it ups the efficiency to a high level, 93% if the press releases are to be believed.
What are these things good for? Lots and lots of things, clusters and high availability work, cramming tons of cores into a single rack, and best of all HPC work. They do not make bread well, for that you need a bread maker which has a far less efficient PSU.
This is a definite niche product, it is either exactly what you need, or you probably question why it exists. For the money, less than two 1U boxes, it is not a bad deal, but unless you need the density or failover, I would do a lot of cross shopping. If you need it, Supermicro has the only ones out there, ask it for part 6015T-T. ยต
