Yahoo's top search term - the Sony Playstation 2

Someone called Britney Spears is all pervasive

OLD INTERNET timer Yahoo released its top 10 lists for search terms users had entered in 2002 and the Sony Playstation 2 is top of the hit parade, it said.

In number two place was someone called Britney Spears, followed by Dragon Ball Z, Kazaa, Eminem, WWE, Morpheus, Internal Revenue Service, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Potter, said Yahoo.

The site didn't say which ranking the Xbox occupied.

It also breaks out other top ten searches, including Toys, topped by Barbie and followed by Pokemon, and Hello Kitty.

The top 10 "reality shows" was headed by American Idol, followed by Big Brother and Survivor. The Osbournes only made it to number 10.

The top medication searched for in 2002 was Viagra, followed by Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, Xenadrine, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Vioxx, Celebrex and Effexor.

And in the "Generation X" category - folk between 21 and 34, Eminem took the top spot, followed by Kazaa and Britney Spears again, whoever she is.

The "Baby Boomers", that is folk approaching Wrinklihood between 35 and 54, showed NASCAR as the leader, followed by Kazaa, Neopets, Harry Poterr, Eminem and Morpheus. Britney Spears only made it to number seven in this chart. µ
