Lycoris-bundle GIANT SHOPPING emporium Wal-Mart has started selling Linux based PCs again.

But this time it's Lycoris Linux it's selling, in conjunction with 1.2GHz AMD Duron microprocessors.

The PCs - the Microtel SYSMAR 417s, come with 128MB of memory, a 20GB hard drive, a CD-ROM drive, integrated 10/100 networking, and the Linux based Lycoris Desktop/LX operating system.

Wal-Mart says the whole package, which comes with speakers and mouse, as illustrated here, costs a mere $199.98.

The whole package can only be bought online, not at Wal-Mart emporia. ยต

* WAL-MART also announced yesterday that it would sell Microtel PCs preloaded with SuSE Linux 8.2, and at prices starting at $298.
