Voodoo PC wants to change HP's mind

Tru64 on the Xbox 360? Nah...

RAHUL Sood has become the chief technology officer (CTO) of HP's Global Gaming division. He is about to change HP's gaming mind, it appears. As we all know, the geezer sold his company, Voodoo PC to HP and got a bunch of cash for it. Now he intends to change the face of HP gaming.

That is not that hard a task as HP doesn't have a gaming division at all and whatever you do you've made a difference. Still Rahul confirmed that his group is working on a few concepts and wants to introduce the whole pallet of the new gaming machines.

It will be faster and much easier to get to the notebook ODM's (Original Design Manufactures) and HP will throw some chunks of cache to try to fight Dell and Alienware in this segment. He thinks that HP powered with Voodoo has a chance versus the Dell-Alienware alliance.

The first thing that has emerged from the Voodoo HP land grab is a multi projector system. Voodoo made two projectors together and projected a formula one race on a big screen. It is all done via some proprietary marchitecture that ye Voodoo boys developed.

This is just a first step but Rahul hints that there are a lot of cool things to come in 2007. The marriage has just started, even though surely the honeymoon period is over. ยต
