[This guy is talking about a problem with sustained PCI access in the 850 Rambus chipset which went relatively unreported. Ed.]

"No, it is important that you give all the facts. Just as I tell people there is a problem with their via chipset, I also give them the direct link to download the 'patch' that the one guy made that partially fixes the problem.
You do not slander a company simply because you dislike them, It's that simple. You give all the facts and you reassure people of alternatives andof other issues.

Generally, people are dumb. They're going to read it and say "I wonder if this is a problem with the OTHER chipsets!?!? Why didn't they tell us before!?? I'm not going to buy it now!" This is where someone such as yourself should reassure them that for 1. It's not really a big deal, 2. It's not as big as deal as the Via one, 3. And give the rest of the facts concerning the alternative chipsets for the Pentium 4.

[This guy didn't like the fact we were asking where AMD's .13 micron technology was. Ed.]

He wrote: "I've noticed a tendancy to slag Amd and idolise Intel....... care to name your sponsors?" ยต
