American whups Russian butt in wargame final

ACON4 Peace in our time

ABIT MADE ACON4 happen with its investments and got 18 finalists to the edge of China, Shanghai, in an attempt to prove who was the best Warcraft 3 player.

Gamers from all around the globe played Warcraft 3 and if they won in their countries and regions they ended up against their international colleagues in the elimination match here in Red Shanghai.

In a dramatic match at the event's final, after days of battle, the young Yank beat a Russian, while the Russian beat a Korean.

In the final, we had a sort of a cold war situation where America played post communist Russia and won again. The American whizz kid won both of the matches.

Matthew Anderson is an eighteen year old with very good playing skills from Lexington, a name which has special significance in its War of Liberation against the nasty Brits. But he doesn't have very good taste in trousers, in my opinion. He probably doesn't care - he's won a Kia vehicle.

A small fifteen year old Russian won $3,500 while the Korean won $2,000 (2,319,000 won) and a Kina man won $1,000. [No, we don't know where a country called Kina is, Ed.]

The game was good and the event was very well organised but as it's rev 1.0, that will be fixed next year.

Without Coco "Dancing in the Brass Monkey" Lee and Scott "I've stopped smoking" Thirlwell, this event would not have been possible.

No doubt the Chinese government was also watching the event with some interest, as most of the journalists had to grab themselves visas, swiftly. ยต
