IBM recruits Tech Data to sell AMD blades

BIG DISTRIBUTOR Tech Data said it has set up a dedicated team to sell IBM kit to resellers, including AMD Opteron based blades.

The firm said the division, IBM One, will sell the Open Stack appliance bundle, which comes with a BladeCenter LS20 using AMD Opterons and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server V9, as well as Websphere app server community edition.

Tech Data will also sell other IBM hardware, software and servers. It said chosen resellers will get margin enhancement including exclusive Big Blue incentives, rebates on products, and discounts on software sales. µ
