The wild party that is the debut will take place at FCRC next week in San Diego. It will show off a SPARC T1 core on a Xilinx ML411 FPGA. It will have a single thread and virtualization capability, work with a Microblaze service processor, and has mapped peripherals.
Just to show its crazy side, it will be running a game on it, not Quake Wars, more towards text based games, but it is written in C. Even without 3D graphics, this is quite an achievement or the OpenSPARC guys. ยต
