UK population dances wildly around Maypoles today

IT'S A HOLIDAY here in the United Kingdom today, to celebrate Bealtaine or something. In the old days, people dressed in bowler hats and umbrellas, used to feel their way through the famous "London Fog", go waltzing around Maypoles and pelting each other with May blossom and the like.

Nowadays, instead of dancing round Maypoles, many people take their what are known as "internal combustion engines" to "out of town malls" to buy useless tat that they then try and re-sell on Ebay UK.

Consequently, bear with us if you don't see quite as many stories on the INQ as usual, for a Monday. We are sharpening our Maypoles and weaving our wicker baskets ready for the sacrificial rites to follow, during this happy week. µ
