Physx owners will get to Warmonger

Two hundred quid surcharge for an FPS

OWNERS OF AGEIA'S Physx physics card finally have something to get excited about - the imminent release of NetDevil's new FPS game, entitled Warmonger.

October 16 has been announced as the launch date for the game, which is built on the stunning Unreal Engine 3 (so good, Epic can't get its own game finished!)

The environments in the game are completely destructible, making for some insane levels of in-world carnage. The destruction takes place in a gorgeously lifelike manner, thanks to the power of the hardware physics engine, apparently.

Gamers, "will have a blast discovering new terrains, sniper positions, and other game elements they've never had a chance to try out before," said the CEO of Ageia, Manju Hegde.

How exactly that's going to go down with non-Physx owners is yet to be seen. Will PPU players get more or better positions to play from thanks to the destruction? Or will the effects of the destruction be the same, but with some more eye candy if you've spent £200 on an add-in card? Come October, we'll know. µ
