Yahoo wants to see more Internet adverts

More potential
Wednesday, 15 November 2006, 07:16
YAHOO CEO Terry Semel thinks that there are not enough advertisements on the Internet and analysts' predictions about growth in the market have been underestimated.

According to Reuters, Semel said predictions for Internet advertising were failing to take into account new technologies and directions on the world wide wibble.

Speaking to the Internet Advertising Bureau Engage 2006 conference, Semel said that predictions on Interweb advertising did not include advertising on video, social media or mobiles.

These would be a "major factor" on the Internet soon, he claimed. Another area we are likely to see is more sponsorship and different forms of advertising, Semel said.

As of Sept26,2007, it works

Hello,

I think this is an old post, just wanted tell you thanks. Just installed AVG on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04, had problems with update and even scan - many files unavailable, no access, etc.
After opening the avggui through gksu AVG simply works, silently. No more comments, it is just great!

Thanks a lot for your post!

All the best,

Artem
