IT'S EASY to check on a Google Gmail account to find out the actual name of the user, according to a five step plan here, or a four-step routine here.
That's assuming a user input their real details in the first place.
Google of course knows more about you than you probably do yourself. If you have a Gmail account have it open and do a Google search in a separate window, Google will remember all about it.
Close it all up and then open up Youtube. Chances are that whatever topic you searched for in Google will be proferred up on the video site, whether you want it or not.

This comment is not related to the article title but merely to the second part of the article. If you worry about Google knowing so much about you, you can use SquiggleSR ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5986) or TrackMeNot(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3173) two firefox extensions that generate fake searches.
Because Google remembers every search without distinction it will be deceived by the fake searches.
Um; google scraper (in a very small voice.)
Not that I would ever use such or have the source code archived on my machine.
Oooh no, the end of the world is nigh! Using my name as my gmail address anyway it's not as if it's hard to guess what my name is.

As if I'd be bothered by someone in the virtual world finding out what my name in the real world is anyway!
From all the spam I get that are from Gmail accounts it seems to me like they can't keep track of real people or not. Get job at screening real people or not.. Losers... I have never used Google..
Guess next week the wacko's will be on a roll to substitute nicknames for their real names on their Birth Certificates, Marriage Licenses, and Driver Licenses....
Help! My parents gave me a real name and spilled the beans.....
actually if you look around, it even shows you a nice little calendar detailing things to the very second. you also have an option of deleting this. but you never know if it actually deletes it on their end. The best things in life are free, but they still cost something.
