NVIDIA IS A COMPANY that is really expanding in all directions. Its investors want it in order to make more and more money. At the show we saw a cool demo of future marchitecture where Nvidia plans to get some of its chips inside cars.

Nvidia calls it 3D car info-tainment and it should be integrated into cars in the next two to three years.

The basic concept is quite simple. This device or shall we call it interface is supposed to be a multifunctional interface that will help you access and play your music, play DVDs, radio or give you access to digital car manual of your car or just draw you a map of the city powered by GPS information. The interface is of course done in 3D what did you expect? We are talking about Nvidia.

We saw the emulator and how is it drawing a map of selected city in 3D. It draws a map of Manhattan with instruction where to make a turn in 3D map. It was just like a game but with streets looked like the streets of real Manhattan. Some company is responsible for that software and the 3D view of it. We saw it and it looks cool and useful.

This will be a huge step forward in GPS navigation as it will make life easier for all the driving people who can get one inside of its car. It will take some time but it definitely sounds like an interesting step forward in auto industry.

Here is how it looks. µ
